Whistle for the Wind

About

My name is Konstantin. I work as a designer and listen to music.
My boyfriend and I also take care of Josie, our boy dachshund.

Me at 8 years old, shortly before I got Type 1 Diabetes

My inspiration to create this blog came after reading this post by Robin Rendle. It contains the wonderful musing:

...blogging is pointing at things and falling in love.

What a wonderful point! Such a great idea to run a blog on curiosity and meandering around different topics.

I discovered Robin’s blog through Manuel Moreale’s great site. Manuel’s site also served as an example for how I built my own blog. This page runs on Kirby, is hosted on a Hetzner VPS, and uses a customized theme by Jakub Pelák.

The blog’s title comes from Ryan McGinley’s beautiful photography book Whistle for the Wind. I know about the book because it is also the album art for Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust by Sigur Rós!
